Winnie

           My name is Winnie Hung, I come from, Taipei, Taiwan. I live with my parents, my grandmother and an older brother. I wish I have an older sister so that we can shop, share our secrets and go anywhere together. My hobbies are reading comic books, watching TV and doing sports. Ice cream, fruit and noodles are my favorite food. My major in University is education and counseling. I like to play with children and teach them. I also like math and drawing.

           My horoscope is Libra. I think the symbol of Libra matches with my personality which is fair and indecisive. I checked my English name on the website. Winnie also means “fair” so I think I found a suitable English name for myself.

          Sometimes I want to be a boy because I think a boy can go to more places where is dangerous for a girl to go. And when a boy meets a new friend, they can soon be friends but for a girl, she needs to spend more time. A girl also needs to spend more time in making up and dressing than a boy. For me, it can save me a lot of time to do other things. So if I have another life to choose, I want to be a boy.

            Why I came to the USA? Because I want to speak English fluently and learn to be more confident and independent. Here if I meet problems, I have to solve them by myself. I can’t rely on my family. So I think after four months, I can be more brave and know how to do many things, I hope everything here will be fine.
