Saudi Behavior vs. American Behavior

  What does behavior mean? Behavior means, the attitude of the person forward another person and all people around him. Behavior is different from one country to another. It depends on a lot of things like religion, traditional cultural and the environment of the country. For example, we can compare Saudi Arabia behavior and American behavior in children’s behavior and family behavior and we will find a big difference.

    First Children’s behavior is a mirror of the whole community’s behavior. If we look at children in Saudi Arabia and focus or their behavior from the beginning of the day until he goes to his bed and

Compare it with a little child from America we are going to understand that country’s differences. When a child wakes up in Saudi Arabia and he is ready to go to his school he says to his parents with a quiet voice ‘’bye-bye’’. In Saudi Arabia our families raised us like this to be quite and talking with low level voice and be considered polite. Respectful behavior. Also, when a little child want to talk to a person bigger than him, specially an adult. He should not look at his eyes. It is disrespect for the senior. . However In America kids are louder. Children would say with a loud energetic voice  ‘’BYE-BYE MUMMY’’. In another hand here in U.S. it is very important the eye contact for people when they are talking.

    The most important comparison between behaviors of people is how they take care of their family behavior. In Saudi Arabia the Husband should pay the bills house utilities and buy everything for his home. The wife should not buy anything even if she works and has income or is rich. The father in Saudi Arabia is responsible for his child also for buys his needs until forever or he died. However in the U.S. the husband and wife share every thing and assisted each other for paying utilities. Also In the U.S. the father is responsible until his child is 18 years old. Children in Saudi Arabia are responsible for taking care of parents as a duty. They must see them or least once a week. In the U.S. not all children are responsible and they have the duty to take care of their parents.

     At the end, all these examples of differences between Saudi and American behavior are created as a result of religion, tradition, culture and environment effect. In my opinion both have advantages and disadvantages. So we have to respect these differences as it is and open our mind to get to use it, accept the person, as he/she is regardless from which background they come from.  And before if we travel to a new country we have to know their behavior and their cultural to avoid doing mistake our misunderstanding. 

China behavior VS American behavior

Different countries have different cultures and just because of the different culture, they have a different behavior in every country. Do you really know about those different behaviors? Or do you know that some countries have their own behavior before? For example, in Chinese and Americans have the different behavior in table manners, teaching behavior in the classroom and the way people express themselves with their emotions.

First of all, table manners are most important in daily life. Chinese people always use chopsticks when they are eating. They seldom use spoon to eat food unless to drink soup. Furthermore, Chinese people like to share the meal while they are eating. Every meal they just have their own bowl of rice, the rest of cuisine they put in a big plate, everybody can eat from that big plate. As for the Americans, they use a fork knife and spoon to eat. Everyone has their own dish. Moreover, each person’s meal is separate in their own plate. They order their own meal, and they seldom sharing.

In addition to table manners, teaching behavior in the classroom is also not the same. If you study aboard, you can strongly feel the difference in the way of teaching in class between China and the US. In China, they seldom use body language. It seems like Chinese teacher always is more serious in class, they like to look at the book to lead class. But things are different in America. The teacher in the US is more funny in class and they always use body language to describe the questions or have the class.

Last but not the least thing is the way people express themselves with their emotion. In China, they seldom say “I Love you” when they are chatting. They are closed. They do not often express themselves. Compared with China, however, Americans are more open. They always say “I love you, honey”, no matter to parents or friends.

It’s really interesting to know these different behaviors between the two countries from table manners, teaching behavior in the classroom, and the way people express themselves with their emotion in these two countries. It’s very important to know these behaviors because if you have friends from other countries or you go to other countries, that will help you make friends with them more easily.



Chinese behavior vs. American behavior

   The people of different countries have different behavior. Do you want to know some differences in behavior between Chinese and Americans? China is an ancient country. It has a long history,so there are the traditional and complicated behavior . America is a younger country.It is easy to accept the new things. The different behavior are the way that people speak, life behavior and consumption behavior between Chinese and Americans.
  The first difference is the way that people speaking. Most of Chinese do not like speaking directly. If a boy likes a girl and he wants to tell her, he will think about a way and let her know. However, he does not tell her directly. Maybe he will asked her to have dinner or see a film but he cannot say “I like you” . In contrast, Americans like speaking directly and they will give the advise directly mostly. If the thing has some problems, they will speak out. And if a boy likes girl,he will say:“I like you” bravely.
   The second difference is life behavior. What time do you take shower? In China people like taking a shower before they go to sleep, because Chinese think that after working or studying the whole day, you should clean the body. In addition, taking a shower helps relax the body and it benefits your sleeping. However, Americans like taking a shower in the morning. Some Americans think the morning is the beginning of the whole day, so it is very significant. Taking a shower in the morning can bring a good mood.
   The last difference is the way of spending money. Most of Chinese people do not like using credit card,they like saving money to the bank. When Chinese are checkout,they like to pay the cash. while American like use credit card to consume. Almost  every American have a credit card,some even have two or more.    All in all, the differences between Chinese and Americans are  the way that people speak, life behavior and consumption behavior . In my opinion, there seems to be no connection in speaking way, shower time and eating habits. However, the three points both can reflect the fact that different countries have different behaviors. The different behaviors are affected by different culture and history.I support that more and more the culture exchange between countries, they know the behavior and affect each other.

Chinese behavior vs. American behavior

                Do you think there is a difference between Chinese behavior and American behavior? In fact, they have a lot of differences. Most behavior depends on local culture. We can see examples from the way people deal with problems, the volume that people speak in public and behave in public places.

                    First Chinese and Americans have different ways to work. Chinese people like a tense work. They used to group work and discuss. On the other hand, Americans work more relax. They want  a individual work. If they have any problems, and they  will ask help from others.                   

                    Secondly, people talk to others in different ways. Chinese people speak quietly. It’s only on special occasions that they speak loudly, such as when there is loud. American people like to speak loudly. When you go to an America place, you must speak to loudly , if you do not speak not loudly, maybe your friend won’t hear your voice.

                      Finally, they differ on the behave in public places. In China, the phenomenon that people stand in line to wait for the but does not occur often, and most the Chinese men don’t know let the ladies go first. In America, the people never cut the line, it’s one line to wait for the bus. In addition, American men are gentleman. They let the woman enter first  and still open the door for her.

                   Overall it’s from three aspects to compare their differences in behavior. They all have unique styles. We could learn from each other good behaviors  to make up for our disadvantages.

How different is the behavior between E.S.A and U.S.

      One day I was in my country El Salvador living with my family, friends and all that I

knew. The next day I opened my eyes, and I was in another country. Everything was

totally different: language, food, people, culture and more, then was when I started to

learn more about this country the USA and I started compare the behavior of people

from my country, El Salvador, with the behavior of the people from the USA.

The politeness is a point really different in these countries, how the people show

respect to strangers in these countries. For example, in El Salvador if pregnant women

in on the bus and are not an empty chair, in my country the man doesn’t care, he

doesn’t pay attention to that. It is usually a woman who gives the chair for the other

women but not the man. If you try to cross the street is like a mission impossible

because it’s no common that the people stop the car for you. It is because of our

culture generation to generation is passing these bad habits. We have to learn from

other countries about how be more respectful with other people and help each other.

On other hand we can see the USA often the people are so different. For example if you

need to cross the street the cars stop for you, and wait that you cross. You can find an

empty chair in the busses, but if for coincidence you don’t many people offer you their

chair for you sit.   If you have many things in your hands like a bags and is hard for you

open the door be sure that mane people is going to help you, because that is the way

that they are, respectful people, very polite and often with a pretty smile in their daces

that makes you feel at home.

  

     Every country have different laws and custom about the cleanliness and how care

about their ambience. We can see in El Salvador is not a very clean country because

the people don't care a lot about have a clean country or recycle, they put all the

garbage together and often the streets are dirty with a lot garbage. If the people are in

their cars or the bus and they are eating something they throw away the garbage by

the window in the street. But if you see in the USA the people are cleaner, they are

more environmentalists and they try to protect the place where they live, they have a

custom to recycle and separate the garbage, and they try to keep their country clean.

When the people is driving or in the bus they bear a bag with them so they put there

the garbage and in that way they don’t  throw it in the street.

 

   

    I hope that when I can back to my country I can 

teach to other people how the people in the USA 

are and try to make the difference.  

Chinese behavior VS American behavior

Did you know that not only everyone's behavior is not the same, but also parent’s behavior are different in different countries. In China and the US, the parents have a big difference between behaviors. They vary in the way they talk to their children, take care of children and the relationship they allow their children to have with people outside of the family.

Firstly, Chinese and American parents behavior are different in the way they talk with their children. In China, most of the parents are serious and strict when they talk with the children. They won't call their children" honey" or "sweetie". In America, the parents and children relationship is more like a friend. If children have any problems, they are willing to talk with the parent.

The different way parents talk with the children also affects the way parents take care of the children. In China, when a child is born, the whole family will take care of the child like a king. They will give anything their child wants. They won't bring their child outside when they still are a baby. However, in America, the parent won't care about this thing. They will bring their child wherever they want. When the children want something, the parents will consider if this is really good for the kid or not.

Finally, the way parents allow their children to communicate with people varies. As we know, some parents don't want someone they don't know to touch their children. They think it is not safe and their child will probably get hurt. On the other hand, in America, the parents won't care about this thing. They won't care if their child talks to a stranger, even if he or she is a foreigner.

There are many differences in the way parents in China and the US talk to their children, take care of their children and the type of relationship their children can have with other people. In the end, both pair of parents still love their children very much. In my opinion, I think the American parent behavior are more good for the child in the future. It is an important process of learning and from each other.

Taiwan vs. American behavior

Have you ever noticed that sometimes you can’t understand what others are doing when you visit in a foreign country? Sometimes you seem to behave in the wrong way but you don’t know where it went wrong. If you are an international student studying abroad, that might have happened in your life. For example, there are some interesting and different behaviors between Taiwanese and Americans. Like how they behave toward strangers , gestures and personalities.

     Compare the two groups’ attitudes to strangers. They have differences and similarities. Taiwanese people don’t easily talk to a stranger and most of the time they only care about themselves. Such as they won’t hold a door to let latter person to come in. But American people care more about strangers. They enter a door, they will hold the door open to let the next person enter the door. If a person sees you have a trouble, he/she will come and ask you “Do you need help?” This isn’t common in Taiwan.

     The second difference between Taiwan and America is how they express themselves with gestures. In Taiwan, people use gestures slightly, their gestures just help their language. Like when a Taiwanese want to show what’s going wrong, they just swing their hands. But in America, they do the gestures really exaggerated, an American will hit his forehead to show what’s going wrong. It’s very interesting.

     The last one, personalities, In Taiwan, most people are shy and introverted. They won’t greet with strangers and they won’t make friends quickly. But in America,

they are open and extroverted, they easily greet with strangers and they are active to make friends.

Every culture has their own behavior in how they behave toward strangers, gestures and personalities .We need to respect everyone’s culture so if you see a foreigner in your country, who shows they confused, you can help them. Let them adjust to this different environment quickly. Because if you go to another country, you might have some problems and you will want someone to help you. So be respectful to everyone’s culture.

     Have you been to China? Do you like Chinese people? Do you know the differences between Chinese behavior and American behavior? In my opinion Chinese behavior and American behavior are very different. The way people express themselves, how they behave at a party and their feelings about life goals are different. 

     First, the way people express themselves is different. Everyone has an opinion. Chinese’s opinion way is different from American’s way. In China, everyone has their own thinking and opinion. But they don’t talk about it with each other. So, some people don’t know what their friends’ ideas are about the same subject. Sometimes, their opinions are closed, not open. However, in the USA, if someone has an opinion, they will talk about their opinions. They will show it, and make everyone know them and think about the thing. Their opinions are open. So, Chinese’s way of expressing themselves is different from American’s way.

     Second, Chinese people and American people have different behavior in a party. In China, people like a quiet party, light music and a little red wine. They talk with each other slowly, quiet and small smile on the face. However, in the USA, the party is so crazy. The party has loud music, crazy dancing, much wine, smoking and laughing sound. So, there is different kind of behavior at the party in China and American.

Third, Chinese people and American people focus on the different most important things in their life. In China, Chinese think that the main thing in your life is that you have much money and are famous person. So, most Chinese have the same goal in their life. However, in the USA, American people think just be independent that it is the best thing in their life. So, American people can do anything if they want. These things are different in China and American.

Chinese behavior is different from American behavior. There are different people’s opinion way, behavior at a party and feelings about main life goal. The three opinions from our life and even though we have different behavior, I want to understand and study them. Are you interested in them too?

             Have you ever compared the countries in the East with the countries in the West? Do you feel confused when you go to other countries? China and America are both big countries. But one is in the East and the other is in the West. China has a long history for 5000 years. On the other hand, America has a relatively shout history. As a result, it's interesting to find differences in behavior between Chinese and Americans. In my opinion, Chinese behavior and American behavior vary in the way they participate in a party, the way they communicate and the behavior in traffic.

            First, Chinese and Americans believe differently at parties. Have you been to the party in America? On weekend nights, there are too many parties. People talk with others and drink beer. They dance and sing. Americans consider weekends as a crazy time. They release themselves. However, in China, people often stay at home on weekends. They watch TV and talk with their family and friends. Chinese people consider weekends a time as a holiday when you should have a good sleep. At a party, Chinese people often sit around the table and have dinner. They have a drink without music. They prefer to talk with others in a quiet environment.

            Why do Americans and Chinese have different kinds of parties? Maybe because they have different style of communicating with others. Americans often do what they want to do. So the way they talk with others is very direct. If they think it is right, they will say yes. If not, they will say no. Another difference is that Americans communicate casually with strangers. In America, they often say hello on street. However, in China, people do not do the same thing. You might say" I think so, but..." or "Maybe you are right, and I also think..." and so on. If you talk with others directly, sometimes, they think you are rude. Finally, in China, people say nothing to strangers. Perhaps because China has a larger population.

            Because of the population differences, Chinese and Americans have different way to behave in traffic. In America, drivers will let people go first. On the other hand, in China, people will let the cars go first or a group of people cross the road together. Because if Chinese people go across the road one by one, the traffic will become jam. So when Chinese go to America, they are used to waiting in the side of the road and American drivers stop to wait them to cross the road. It is funny.

            Different cultures let people chose different lifestyle. Just like Americans and Chinese. They have different behavior in the way they participate in a party, the way they communicate and the way they behave in traffic. Of course, people who live in their own countries are comfortable. If you go abroad, you should learn how to understand other countries' behaviors.

Japanese behavior VS American behavior

 

     Do you know each country has various behaviors in their lives? If you visit a foreign country, you will probably feel strange about the different behavior of the people. For example, Japan and America have many differences in greeting, service behavior and taking classes.

     First, American and Japanese are different behaviors when they greet each other. almost all Japanese people are shy. So, when people greet each other, they say just ‘OHAYOU’. They don’t say anything except it. However, American people are very open. When they meet each other, they say ‘GOOD MORNING’. Besides, they share a big hug and kiss each other’s cheeks and they always say ‘HOW ARE YOU?’ after the greeting. These are good habits!

     In addition to this, the behavior of the staff in the shop is also different. Japanese people have some conceptions that the staff has to behave kindly for the guests. If the staff’s service is not good, the staff will make the leader angry. It is most important that the staff makes the guests happy by the good service in Japan. On the other hand, American services are very frank. For example, if you go into a shop, you might see that the staffs do catch ball each other. Someone may be dancing and the other are singing. It was unbelievable for me! If workers do these behaviors in Japan, they will be scolded by the leader. However, I like American behaviors because it makes me smile because of their funny behaviors. Japan may sometimes be a little too polite. Both services are very attractive!

     Third, Japanese and American behave differently in class. First, Japanese students hardly say their opinion in front of people. Even if the teacher asks some opinions of the students, they don’t say anything. They are so quiet, so teachers sometimes are confused. Japanese students take the classes quietly and they aren’t active in front of people. then American people can say their opinions in front of many people without shyness. They sometimes discuss the class’s theme even if the teachers don’t ask some questions. They are very active.

     In conclusion, each country has various behaviors. Japanese behavior and American behavior are very different. American people are active. Japanese people are shy. I think they have many good points and they also have bad points. When you visit other countries, you will be able to realize the good and bad points in your country because you can compare the many differences.

 

 

 

The Difference in Culture between Vietnam and the United States

            Have you ever thought about the difference in behavior between your country and others countries? As we know, each country has their own culture as well as behavior. Specifically, Vietnam and the US have a lot of disparities in ways that people get in line, hold the door, and clean up after a meal.

            Firstly, the behavior of getting in line between Vietnam and the US is not the same. In Vietnam, when people go to the theater, the stadium, or even the shop, they usually cut in line. For example, when they go to buy tickets, they push others and want to be the fastest person who has a ticket. The reason are their ambition which want the ticket and they don’t want to wait for a long time. Meanwhile in the US, when people go to buy tickets in the movie theaters as well as the stadium, they always get in line and stand in the polite way. They do this because they can always keep calm and respect each other.

            Secondly, the behavior about holding the door between Vietnam and the US is also different. On the one hand, students in Vietnam don’t hold the door for each other unless they know each other. They don’t care about other students and they just want to hurry to go to class or the cafeteria. On the other hand, in schools of the US, students usually hold the door for the next person who come after. They even say “thank you” for the person who holds that door. That’s so polite.

            Finally, the behavior of cleaning the meal between Vietnam and the US is opposite. In Vietnam, when people eat in the restaurant as well as the cafeteria, after they finish their meal, they don’t have to clean or throw away their dish. This is because it is part of the service, the restaurant cleans for customers. However, in the cafeteria of the US, after students finish their dish, they have to bring it to the dish washers to clean (Vietnam’s schools don’t have this). That’s called self-service, because the service is not part of the meal they pay for.

            As we have seen, there is a variety of different behavior between the US and Vietnam. It has disparities in the way people hold the door for each other, the way they clean their meal and the way they get in line. For me, I’m studying in the US and I really like the US culture, and I will try to adapt their culture.

American behavior VS Taiwanese behavior

American behavior and Taiwanese behavior are totally different. In my country, PEOPLE think the way that American behave is pretty cool. Right now, I am going to analyze the difference of activities, girls, teachers.

First, Americans are lot more active than Taiwanese, especially when they go out with friends. For an example, people watch movies and dance together, everybody is pretty high at the moment. In the US people don’t seem close to each other and have fun together, even if they haven’t known each other for a long time. However, in Taiwan you will never find the scene of this. Taiwanese just normally go to movie theater, then find a restaurant and that is it. People usually don’t stick that close to each other unless they have known each other for a long time.

            Second, Americans girls come from many different cultures, but in Taiwan girls are mostly just Taiwanese. Therefore, the girls in the US are more talkative and open. Sometimes, in the US, aboy can hang out in a girl’s room. They can touch each other and talk about whatever they want, but this doesn’t mean they are boyfriend and girlfriend. However, in Taiwan if a boy goes to a girl’s room, that means he is her boyfriend or they have a very close relationship.

            Finally, the teachers have different behaviors. In the US, teachers don’t write a lot of notes on the board. They talk about lots of information or make students discuss in groups, Also, the students in the US are more independent and responsible for themselves. However, in Taiwan the teacher is very boring. The teacher will write a lot of notes on the board, and the students have to copy and memorize it. This way of education is not helpful at all. Also, students are more depend on the notes that teacher give them.

            Overall, I prefer American behavior more than Taiwanese behavior. In Taiwanese culture, people always worry about that others will think about them. However, in the US everybody is more open and confident about their behavior. In this point, I think that is why many parents from around the world want to send their kids to study in the States. Not just language, the behavior is very helpful too. I hope I can learn more here, and I truly believe I will be successful in the future!

Saudis and Americans behavior

Behavior always reflects the personality of the person. We can see different cultures with different behaviors too. For example, people who grew up and lived in a rural area have different behavior from people who lived in the city. There are some differences between Saudis and American behavior as well as similarities. So, the main differences include, the way children are treated, the way people speak in public, and the way people communicate with their family.

First of all, treating the child is a very important manner, because the behavior starts from this point. For example, if Saudis treat their children in a right way, they can carry these benefits with them for the future. That’s what most educated families do. In America, it is almost the same way, as many families guide their children to differentiate between the right and wrong in many public places. One also could say that the Saudi children do not have as many activities as American children. Such as doing volunteer in many different aspect, which reflect their social behaviors.

As a result of treating  children, the way of speaking takes the second part of this cycle. In Saudi Arabia, people are not that talkative compared to American people. But, they speak loudly just to friends or relatives. Regarding Americans, they like to speak a little bit more and are louder than Saudis.

Moreover, behavior of communication toward family and friends is the end result of treating children and speaking. Most families in Saudi Arabia like to communicate with each other regularly. For example, every week they gather together and talk, talk, talk. Also, the communication with people other than families is very common. Compared to Saudis, there is a lack of communication in American people toward their families like family gathering and keeping in touch with their parents and relatives. However, some people like to communicate with their families and some do not.

From how children are treated in the early years of life to the way of speaking to the way of communicating with others, all of these, both Saudis and American, do it in a respectful way. One also could say, no one is perfect. In my opinion, these different behaviors could change from country to country, it depends on the culture as well as the history of the country, eventually becoming like a habit.
