New York City and Washington D.C.

  Lee
Do you like the city which you are living in? Have you ever thought of why you chose this city? Everybody knows different countries have different cultures. The same is with cities. For example, New York City is a famous tourist city and Washington D.C. is the capital city of the U.S. They are different in environment, jobs and architecture.

First of all, there is a difference in environment. New York City is noisy. There are a lot of cars on the roads. However, Washington D.C. is quiet and peaceful. You will find that a lot of people ride bicycles on the road. New York City is like a rock song and Washington D.C. is like light music.
The environment affects the type of jobs which people choose. The soul of New York City is business. As a result, there are so many companies in New York City. Most people are businessmen. On the other hand, Washington D.C. is the capital of the U.S. So there are many people who work for the government. Therefore, most people are government officials.
Every job has appropriate workplaces. Therefore the buildings are different in these two cities. New York City shows its prosperity by many architecture. However, Washington D.C. shows the U.S. history. So there are a lot of museums and government buildings in Washington D.C.

Since each city varies in environment, jobs and architecture, you will know which lifestyle to choose. Essentially, if you want move to another city that means that you choose a new life. You must be ready before you go to the new city. Try to adjust yourself and be happy wherever you live.

    2. In my opinion, NYC has a better Chinatown. There are many Chinese restaurants and a supermarket. A few days ago, I bought the mooncakes from the Hong Kong supermarket in NYC.

  2. I prefer to live in Washington DC more than New York City. Because in DC, there is a lot of spectacular landscape, however, NYC, there is a lot of people in the street, it's annoying :)

    2. Yes, and I saw so many people running and playing group sports together in DC (at the mall)! I was really impressed. It's not like that at all in NYC. But I still love NYC.

  8. If I live in New York or Washington D.C, I will choose Washington D.C rather than New York City. I like a quiet place.
It is necessary for us to look up the condition of the city if we will move to other city! But I like both New York City and Washington D.C!
