What do you realize?

      If you really want to develop a good friendship, how much effort would you make? If I didn’t experience this event, I never know how the friendship between Kelly and me was and I will never stop chasing those things which not belonged to me. This was the worst day in my life when I went through this school day.

     Like usual, I went to school and did all my work that my classmates ask me to help them. “Winnie could you lend me your camera?” Kelly said. ” “Ok” I said, although I didn’t want to lend anybody my camera. “ And could you lend me your pen?” Kelly said. ” Ok” I gave her my pen. “Thank you, Winnie, you are such a good person because you like to help everybody” Kelly said. “You’re welcome” I said. In that time I was happy because I liked Kelly very much and I wanted to be her good friend but I didn’t know this just the beginning of the nightmare.

     The next day, when I entered the classroom, I heard many people talk about Kelly’s birthday party. “Are you going to Kelly’s birthday party?” one of my classmates asked me. “No, she didn’t ask me” I said. Afterward Kelly heard our conversation, she came and asked me “Do you want to go to my birthday party?” “When?” I asked. “Tonight.” she said.” Ok I will go.” I was excited but Kelly seemed not happy.

     At night, I went to her house. Every classmate was there. Kelly was busy taking pictures with her classmates. I couldn’t concentrate on what people were saying to me because I was waiting for Kelly to take a picture with me. A long time passed and it was the end of the party. Kelly didn’t come to take a picture with me. I was so disappointed but I thought maybe she just forgot to take a picture with me so I went to Kelly and asked her to return my camera and my pen. I thought maybe she heard “camera” this word, she would remember to take a picture with me. But she didn’t come. She came back to her house and looked for my stuff”Sorry, now I can’t find your stuff but tomorrow I will take them to school” Kelly said. “Ok, see you tomorrow’ I said with a disappointment.

     The next day, Kelly said”Sorry, I couldn’t find your pen’s cap but here is your camera” I took my stuff without saying a word because I didn’t like that my stuff was lack of some part. I checked my camera and I saw my camera’s battery couldn’t work. I asked Kelly what’s going on and she just said “I am sorry.” I felt very angry but I didn’t say anything. I heard other classmates were talking about the pictures that Kelly took last night. They all had a good time last night except for me. I was curious about how many people Kelly took pictures with when I came home and saw the pictures online. I just realized that she took the pictures with all the people but without me. Suddenly, I felt myself was so naïve. I had liked her so much and I could bend my backwards for her, but she didn’t care about me at all. I cried very loudly on my bed.

I knew what her feeling was about me. Every time I just pretended not to see the emotional expression on her face that she was not happy with me. I tried to satisfy her and her needs but it was no use. Now I just realize that some things, no matter how hard I tried, still don’t belong to me. Don’t take everything so seriously. Know how to love yourself first and then you will know how to love others.
