My Semester in New Paltz

This semester, I think it was most memorable in my life of New Paltz. This semester, I went to a lot of place. Not like last year, I didn't go somewhere else for travel.

In October 15th . Some of our ESL students and Professor Sarah, Professor James and Professor Hellmann went to Hyde Park to visit FDR's house. We visited one of the greatest American presidents: Franklin Delano Roosevelt. We also visited FDR's wife's house: Vanderbilt Mansion there. The most impressive place was the Vanderbilt Mansion. It overflows comfortable countryside scenery around the Vanderbilt Mansion.

In November 3rd .We went to West Point with some of ESL students and Professor Pablo. I still remember though the sun was out, but we all felt chilly at that day. Fortunately, next day the west point will stage a big drill, so we saw some of soldiers were practicing parachute on the great lawn in front of the building.

In the middle of November, I went to Mohnok Mountain with my friends twice. Once for boating, another time for hiking. It was really fun, except for the bad weather. Although the weather just cloudy, I prefer go up the mountain in early Autumn more than almost end of the month. In Autumn, the view of the leaves change from green to brown is amazing.

At Thanksgiving break, we went to Boston for travel. It is a long trip from New York to Boston. We spent 3 days at there. During this time, we went to Harvard University and MIT. The campus of Harvard University is really beautiful. As known, the study in Harvard is quite stressful. We went there during school holidays, the campus are much more quieter than usual. Lobster is very common and famous in Boston. We went to a restaurant which called LEGAL SEA FOODS. It is a well-known seafood restaurant in Boston. There's lobsters are delicious and fresh. And it is not that expensive. If you will travel to Boston someday, I recommend this seafood restaurant.

The time crosses very fast, it's almost end of the semester. Of course we have something happy and unhappy, but all of those are over now. I hope next semester will be better!
